Take video. As a team, you and your staff should always look for ways to increase case acceptance, and that includes improving your case presentation skills. One way to do that is to actually watch how you interact with your patients and how they react to you.
Take video. As a team, you and your staff should always look for ways to increase case acceptance, and that includes improving your case presentation skills. One way to do that is to actually watch how you interact with your patients and how they react to you.
Patients often give nonverbal cues while you’re presenting a case, from avoiding eye contact to looking any where but at the before and after photos you’re showing them. It’s important you notice these cues and address them during the presentation. If you’re not used to looking for those cues or aren’t sure how you should respond when you do, taping a case presentation and watching it later with your team can help.
Ask a few patients if they mind if you tape the case presentation and let them know you’ll only use it for internal purposes. Critique it with your team and be honest about what you’re doing well and how you can approve. Taking this look at your approach to case presentations, and listening to insights from your team members, can only help you improve your communication skills, and that will lead to more patients going forward with treatment they need.
Your patients are your practice. Without them, where would you be? You have to know the best ways to attract them to your practice, get them to accept treatment and make them happy, life-long patients.
That’s where we can help. Check back regularly for tips on how to keep your patients happy, healthy and loyal.
