This new artificial intelligence software collaboration aims to automate and optimize patient interactions for group dental practices.
Through a new partnership, Dental Robot, an artificial intelligence (AI) platform designed to streamline insurance verification, will incorporate IntelePeer's AI-powered communications automation platform (CAP) to offer a comprehensive, self-service, omnichannel experience to patients, while also enhancing data integrity within Revenue Cycle Management (RCM).
This new service is aimed at the growing dental group practice market, according to a press release. The communications automation platform will provide Dental Robot customers with an omnichannel engagement platform encompassing messaging, chat, and email interactions between the practice and patients. The software includes virtual assistants with built-in natural language processing and generative AI capabilities to help provide automated appointment scheduling, confirmation reminders, and rescheduling for current patients as well as patients new to the practice.
The communications platform provides opportunities to automate patient interactions, and the data on the back end of the solution provides ongoing business intelligence to group dental practices. The platform integrates with CRM and other business applications and provides self-service data gathering and automated bill payment. Additionally, a practice-specific question-and-answer database can be combined with generative AI to provide robust responses to thousands of patient questions.
“By partnering with IntelePeer, we’ll continue to improve both front- and back-office experiences for dental practices nationwide,” says Dental Robot CEO Manuel Barroso. “Together, we’re enabling practices to decrease manual processes, increase staff productivity, and save hundreds of hours a week by tapping into the power of AI and automation.”
The IntelePeer platform taps into Azure's OpenAI AI engine to enable users to create dynamic patient communication workflows that can be seamlessly integrated into existing processes. Users can also create intelligent AI voice and messaging bots based on customer interactions, CRM data, and other sources. These bots can manage communications to enrich the patient experience, according to the press release.
“We’re excited to introduce the power of generative AI to the Dental Robot platform, taking the patient experience to the next level through the use of AI and automation,” says IntelePeer CEO Frank Fawzi. “Working together, IntelePeer and Dental Robot solve two major pain points for the industry–insurance processing and the ability for patients to effectively self-serve without the need of costly human intervention. By using our communications automation platform, dental practices will be able to reduce labor costs, deliver personalized communications across channels, and see a return on their investment in a matter of weeks.”
As part of this collaboration, IntelePeer and Dental Robot are set to engage in various industry events. The inaugural event, Becker's Healthcare Future of Dentistry Roundtable on Oct. 26, will feature Barroso, along with IntelePeer executives Joe Galinanes and Corbin Fields discussing the positive impact of AI and automation on the patient experience, specifically in a session titled "Streamlining Customer Service and RCM with AI Automation."
