Zest Dental Solutions rolled out its 3.4 mm LOCATOR Overdenture Implant System earlier this month.
The 3.4 mm Zest LOCATOR Implant System broadens the indications for use to support narrow and standard ridge cases, ZDS said in a statement announcing the launch. The LOCATOR’s design features aggressive threads for stability, a roughened surface, and reduced vertical height. The ease of a two-part system, paired with its design, make the LOCATOR a cost-effective choice for clinicians placing implants for partial and fully edentulous patients, ZDS said.
“The 3.4 mm LOCATOR Implant is a direct response to our customer requests for a line expansion that allows clinicians to treat more patients with implant-retained overdenture therapy, thus improving the lives of patients around the world,” Zest Dental Solutions CEO Tom Stratton said in the announcement.
LOCATOR’s narrow and standard ridge implants are built for the LOCATOR abutment, which offers a less invasive, durable implant-retained overdenture option for patients, ZDS said. The LOCATOR attachment system comes equipped with 2.4, 2.9 and 3.4 mm diameters and 10,12, or 14 mm lengths for positioning in all ridges. Other benefits of the LOCATOR Overdenture Implant System include self-tapping for ease of insertion and increased stability and proven RBM roughened surface, the ZDS press release said.
