Whip Mix announces new 3D printers

Whip Mix has announced they are exclusively distributing (in North America) three 3D printers from Asiga, the Freeform PRO2, the PICO2 and the PICO2 HD.

Whip Mix has announced it is the exclusive distributer for the Asiga 3D printers in the dental market for North America. 

The Asiga 3D printers are fully compatible with leading 3D scanners and CAD software, such as 3Shape, exocad and Dental Wings. They operate in an open system that allows users to use any suitable resin material they choose including a full line of Whip Mix VeriBuild® Resins

With three models to choose from, the Asiga 3D printers are designed to efficiently produce dental models, surgical guides, splints, casting patterns, partial frameworks and custom impression trays. Nesting software is included on all Asiga printers at no additional cost.

The three printers available are:

  • The PICO2, a high-power, compact 3D printer for direct manufacturing of quadrant dental models, and crown & bridge casting patterns.

  • The PICO2 HD™, reportedly the world's smallest HD 3D printer, is engineered to deliver excellent resolution and build capacity to the desktop. The PICO2 HD is said to have the fastest material change-over of any 3D printer on the market, and is reportedly ideal for producing water-clear dental splints, surgical guides,and castable materials for crown and bridge and partial frameworks. 

  • The Freeform PRO2 is a professional 3D printer for direct manufacturing of dental models, partial frameworks, surgical guides and crown and bridge casting patterns.
