“Patients today want a number of items from their orthodontic practice. They want simplicity. They want care today, not tomorrow. They don’t want to wait, so they want access. They want flexibility on how they pay. They want flexibility about when they are seen. And they want feedback: How am I doing? Many of these are millennial characteristics. But practices that can provide the flexibility of how to get into orthodontics financially, that can give feedback to patients, that can make it easy for them to communicate with them, not through phone, or really through email, but through text, through live chat — through things like that. Technology is a big driver of how we want to be communicated with as consumers. Orthodontists that do that well are succeeding.”
