Vista Dental Products to launch Phasor at GNYDM

The patent-pending device uses near-infrared technology to rapidly warm composite compules.

Vista Dental Products will officially launch Phasor™ at the 2018 Greater New York Dental Meeting. This patent-pending device is reportedly the first of its kind, using near-infrared technology to rapidly warm composite compules. Warming composite is said to significantly lower the viscosity of the material, resulting in better adaptation, reduced voids, microleakage and improved depth of cure.

Check out what attendees at GNY have to say about Phasor.

With the touch of a button, Phasor is engineered to be able to heat composite material to 150°F in less than one minute and sustain a constant temperature throughout the entire dental procedure. Materials remain highly sculptable, nonsticky and easily shaped during manipulation.

Unlike other devices, Phasor reportedly isn't limited to a single brand of composite. This makes the device extremely versatile, not only in quick posterior bulk fills but in esthetic regions as well. Improved depth of cure allows for larger incremental layers to be placed, saving valuable time.

Lowered material viscosity is also said to greatly reduce the hand pressure needed to deliver composite material, allowing for faster ergonomic delivery. The lightweight, cordless design maintains the look and feel of a traditional composite delivery gun, making it easy to use for all dental professionals.
