3D Printer
Origin® One Dental
The Origin One Dental is a 3D printer powered by proprietary print technology called Programmable Photo Polymerization P3® that is said to enable accuracy, part-to-part consistency, and throughput. It has an open materials infrastructure. The Origin One acts as a follow-up to the Stratasys J5 DentaJet, which launched in spring 2021. Together, these printers can offer a robust, streamlined workflow for dental labs, with Origin One Dental introducing this proprietary technology and the J5 DentaJet offering a unique mixed-materials, single-tray methodology.
With GC Initial IQ ONE SQIN paintable color-and-form ceramic system, esthetically appealing restorations suitable for the anterior region can easily be achieved. Based on the GC Initial “IQ philosophy,” the system consists of different ceramic materials (Lustre Pastes ONE, SQIN, and Spectrum Stains) formulated to be used together for efficient and esthetically convincing finalization of monolithic and buccally reduced restorations. The system’s technique calls for form and fine texture details made in the wet stage. A glazed finish is achieved in 1 single firing.
Included with every TRIOS intraoral scanner, the 3Shape Unite platform is said to have an intuitive user interface that connects clinicians and technicians and allows for a smoother workflow. The built-in lab order form and chat functionalities can make digital dentistry easier and more accessible. This platform can connect practices to labs, making digital integration more straightforward. Henry Schein, Ivoclar, and the Straumann Group have all teamed up with 3Shape to launch the platform, meaning greater access to practice management systems, clear aligners, implants, restorative solutions, and more benefits from the partnership.
The Implant Buddy dental implant driver set includes both short and long drivers that are color-coded for easy visibility, tapered driver tips for a stronger implant screw connection, and a convenient thumb knob that fits directly into torque drivers. The kit’s long and short prosthetic connections include straight screwdriver, Straight Systems, Straumann SCS screwdriver, Dynamic angled access driver, UniGrip driver, Nobel Biocare, Lifecore, BioHorizons, Astra, Zimmer, Biomet 3i, Megagen, Hiossen, Friadent, Ankylos, and more. The short drivers have a total length of 23 mm and the long drivers a total length of 39 mm.
The DMP Flex 200 uses direct metal printing (DMP) technology for the 3D printed metal manufacturing of small, complex, fine-detail metal parts. This is said to make it ideal for dental applications, including next-day removable partial dentures, crowns, bridges, and implant bars. The Flex 200 features a 500-W laser source and a larger build volume of 140 mm by 140 mm by 115 mm. It also features a build plate clamping mechanism that eliminates the need for screw management inside the process chamber. The unit features 3DXpert software for part setup and production and an all-in-one integrated production.
