Mobile True Definition Scanner from 3M

The compact, ergonomic design of 3M’s new tablet-based intraoral scanner is similar to other rechargeable tablets that patients and clinicians use in their daily lives, allowing clinicians to move freely between operatories without power cords or carts. Flexible mounting options are engineered to help to minimize workspace clutter, offering more space for the clinician and assistant to maneuver in small spaces. Informed discussion and visual patient communication is made easy with a system that can be placed directly into the hands or lap of a patient, where they see a digital visualization of their oral anatomy and, ultimately, gain a better understanding of proposed treatments.

LC 3DPrint Box from NextDent

Capable and accurate printers at increasingly affordable prices; a variety of materials certified for long-term use in the oral cavity; an increasing number of final output options: These developments are helping to increase the adoption of 3D printing technologies in dentistry.

However, so far, dental professionals interested in printing their own models, bite splints, aligners, drill guides or crowns have encountered the same problem. Printouts originating from DLP/SLA-based printers need to be post-cured, and post-curing units were highly expensive. NextDent believes it has a solution with the unveiling of the new LC 3DPrint Box.
