SprintRay Picks Up the Pace and Enhances Performance With the Latest Updates to its 3D Printing Ecosystem

The NanoCure post-curing device along with new resins for nightguards and dentures increase the efficiency and the quality of 3D printed workflows.

The latest updates from SprintRay include the small and fast NanoCure post-curing device, along with NightGuard Flex 2, NightGuard Firm 2, Apex Base, and Apex Teeth resins.

The new products were announced February 22, in a press release and with an event at the 2024 Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting where the company showcased its research & development process and highlighted its position as a innovator in 3D printers, 3D printing software, and 3D printing resins.

"At SprintRay, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation to deliver exceptional solutions that empower dental professionals worldwide," SprintRay CEO Amir Mansouri, PhD, says in the press release. "Our latest advancements reflect our ongoing dedication to revolutionizing the dental industry through collaboration, research, and technological excellence."

The NanoCure is capable of curing 3D printed dental models in just 2 minutes due to its use of a dual-wavelength LED curing process and heat management. This process is designed to optimize the physical properties of the printed parts, as one curing wavelength sets the outside of a part before the second wavelength cures the part completely. The NanoCure device is compact, features a touchscreen control and integrates within the SprintRay 3D Printing Ecosystem.

Offering improved durability and patient comfort when compared to their predecessors, NightGuard Flex 2 and NightGuard Firm 2 are suited for chairside production of nightguards in less than one hour. Forthcoming optical polishing technology will enhance the nightguard workflow even further.

Finally, SprintRay announced new denture resins with Apex Base and Apex Teeth both featuring NanoFusion™ technology which is said to produce optimized strength, durability, and esthetics. The new Apex resin formulas feature ceramic filler to provide high fracture and wear resistance, while offering a range of shades and enhanced translucency.
