SprintRay’s durable, esthetically enhanced OnX Tough 2 resin will now work with the Carbon M-series of printers, enabling more options for fixed hybrid denture creation.
3D printing company Carbon has announced that SprintRay’s OnX Tough 2 resin is now validated for the M-series of its printers, standing as the first collaboration between the 2 companies. OnX Tough 2 was chosen for its strength and esthetic benefits, according to a press release from Carbon.
With the M-series printers, OnX Tough 2 can be used for the creation of fixed hybrid dentures, elevating material offerings for dental labs and their customers, per the press release.
“SprintRay’s collaboration with Carbon underscores our commitment to delivering innovative solutions that enhance the capabilities of dental labs. The validation of OnX Tough 2 on the Carbon platform marks a significant milestone in dental 3D printing, enabling labs to achieve exceptional durability and esthetic quality in their restorations,” CEO and co-founder of SprintRay, Amir Mansouri, PhD, said in the press release. “This partnership not only expands our market reach but also reinforces our dedication to advancing dental care."
OnX Tough 2 reportedly touts a work of fracture >900 J/m² and fracture toughness of 2.62MPa √m, while maintain natural esthetics for patient satisfaction. Per Sprintray, it also harnesses the power of NanoFusion™ technology for uniform particle distribution that supports the promised durability and esthetics. It is also available in A1, A1, B1, Bleach, and Hollywood White shades. This validation will enable more options for clinicians, according to Carbon CEO and co-founder, Phil DeSimone.
