Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics hosts dental education day

FORT WORTH, Texas, Aug. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- On June 11, Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics proudly hosted a dental education and career day for the students of Fort Worth's H.I.K.I.D.S., an organization dedicated to helping inner city children and youth.  This exciting event took place at the Forest Hill location.  

The students were given a unique, fun opportunity to learn about careers in dentistry and the inner workings of a dental office by taking a field trip to Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics.  The day was packed with educational competitions, fun games, raffles and hands-on learning activities all in the context of a dental environment.

Formal instruction was presented through office tours and a dental education class, and all students were invited to demonstrate their new knowledge.  The top three students who scored highest on their dental quizzes received prizes for their efforts and achievements.  

All students also were able to experience dental exams and x-rays as part of the trip.

Community response to the event was extremely positive.  The students were able to gain a no fear, fun experience in a dental office by becoming familiar with the equipment and environment, while at the same time gaining an awareness of the importance of oral health.  

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is proud to have been able to host such a fun and educational event for a very worthy group of students and continues to be the leader in Oral Health Education in the community.
