Risk of nodules associated with fillers, dental work

Should dermatologists talk with their patients about dental work history? Michael Persky, MD, recently posed this question at the Vegas Cosmetic Surgery and Aesthetic Dermatology meeting. He referenced two patients who presented with nodules following hyaluronic acid filler injections.

This discussion was yet another example of the growing collaboration between medical and dental practitioners, and the realization that that the two sides should be working more closely together for the betterment of their patients.
