Pride Institute "Best of Class" 2014: Demi Ultra Ultracapacitor Curing Light offers quick curing and fast charging [VIDEO]

The Pride Institute's "Best of Class" Technology Awards represent an initiative to promote innovation in new and existing dental technology companies, while also providing a means through which the organization can educate those in the dental professions to use technology more effectively. 

This year's honorees span a wide range of categories and uses, from the business-oriented to the clinical, such as the Demi Ultra Ultracapacitor Curing Light from Kerr.

The Ultra Demi’s U-40 ultracapacitor allows the device to fully charge in less than 40 seconds, offering 25 10-second cures without gradually losing charge strength like curing lights powered by conventional rechargeable batteries.  This means that the Ultra Demi will have the same charge strength after ten years of use as it did when it was new.

Additionally, the LED light system is outfitted with Kerr’s C.U.R.E. (Curing Uniformity and Reduced Energy) technology, which reportedly offers uniform curing depth at low temperatures, which translates into less heat delivered to the tooth itself. Plus, as Dr. Flucke demonstrates, the Demi Ultra’s Easy Suite feature is said to offer simple and intuitive operation with easy cleaning.
