Fitebac® Cavity Cleanser
Created to provide antimicrobial properties at the site of a dental restoration, Fitebac Cavity Cleanser is a 2% K21 QAS aqueous ethanolic solution for use on cavity prep sites. The solution can remove debris in carious lesion preps as well as penetrate exposed dentin tubules which is said to increase bond strengths to dentin while also helping to manage residual contamination of the restoration site. The material can reportedly help eliminate and prevent recurrent decay beneath the restoration or at margins, extending the life of the prosthetic solution.
Why this material is truly something new:
Featuring K21 QAS, which consists of four Silane Quaternary Ammonium structures covalently linked to a silane core, FiteBac Cavity Cleanser offers ongoing antimicrobial properties to provide ongoing protection from the time of application. It provides this protection while actually improving the infiltration of adhesive monomers into acid-etched dentin while inhibiting formation of MMP-9 and Cathepsin-K.

MPI™ and ULT™ Molecular Precision Implants
Designed to provide both high initial implant stability and a long-term anchor, the MPI implants feature a unique spherical helix chamber design that is said to capture blood and bone fragments to assist osseointegration. A beveled collar shifts the dental implant-abutment junction inward, allowing for platform switching. Additionally, the Moleculock™ biomechanical implant-abutment seal design makes the gaps too small for bacterial penetration which may reduce the risks of peri-implantitis. The ULT implants offer many of the same advantages along with a patented Reverse Concave Neck (RCN) with micro-threads that resist axial load. Both implant lines feature a familiar internal hex connection.
Why these implants and the company behind them are notable:
With 50 years of experience in precision machining for high-end aerospace, aeronautical, automotive, and medical device companies, Ditron Dental is capable of producing parts at single micron level accuracies. The company’s quality assurance programs test products in numerous ways with a goal of ensuring zero defects per million parts, and then the products are mechanically washed, disinfected, and finally packaged in an ISO 14644-1 “Class 7” compliant clean room that has particle counts of less than 1 per million/m3.
