New award categories for The Tellies expand recognition opportunities for virtual-first care.
Nominations are now open for MouthWatch’s Teledentistry Innovation Awards, “The Tellies.” This is the sixth year for these awards, which recognize individuals, organizations, and programs utilizing teledentistry and virtual dental care applications to expand access to care and improve oral health.
Earlier this year, MouthWatch introduced Dentistry. One, a virtual-first dental care network that is playing a role in the recent growth of teledentistry. An increasing number of organizations are supporting health through services such as Dentistry. One, and this year’s The Tellies are adding 3 new categories to help showcase the new ways these types of services can assist patients.
MouthWatch has added categories for employers, industry innovators, and payers to this year’s Teledentistry Innovation Awards. The addition of these categories now provides 7 opportunities for individuals, organizations, and programs to be recognized for outstanding work in advancing oral health, the company states. Original categories for The Tellies include dentists, hygienists, oral health programs, and educational institutions.
“The addition of new Tellie Award categories is a direct reflection of the growing number of individuals and organizations who recognize not only the benefits of teledentistry and virtual dental care, but also the new ways these benefits can reach patients,” Brant Herman, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of MouthWatch and Dentistry. One, states in a press release. “We are excited to recognize and honor those who use these innovative solutions to bring more people into the dental care journey, while driving greater efficiency in the delivery of oral care.”
Dentistry. One is designed to transform the traditional dental patient care journey with a nationwide network of on-demand dentists and Care Advisors who help expand access to care and improve health outcomes for today’s patients, according to MouthWatch. The virtual-first care network is said to address the expectations of today’s healthcare consumers, the need for greater efficiency in healthcare, as well as the proven connection between good oral health and total health. In addition to on-demand dental consultations, it features personalized care coordination and oral health coaching for prioritizing oral health.
Nominations are open until September 15, 2023, and award winners will be announced during the Greater New York Dental Meeting in November 24-29, 2023. The nominations can be submitted on The Tellies’ website, teledentistryinnovationawards.com.
