This new prophy handpiece is designed for quick connection and disconnection, to help reduce time between procedures.
Featuring a quick-disconnect mechanism, the new ProMate EZ-Q low-speed hygiene handpiece from Pac-Dent is designed for optimal procedural efficiency. This quick-disconnect function aids in a smooth patient flow while also adding simplicity to sterilization workflows, according to a press release.
The handpiece can reach speeds of up to 3000 rpm, and it features an innovative swivel head design which is said to offer clinicians greater precision and control, as well as a 360-degree range of motion. With its universal prophy angle connection, the handpiece can be used with a wide range of disposable prophy angle styles from a wide range of manufacturers.
Additionally, the motor is lube-free, which further reduces the time and maintenance procedures required to keep the handpiece operating properly. With a stainless steel exterior build, the ProMate EZ-Q hygiene handpiece is autoclavable for efficient sterilization processing.
The new hygiene handpiece and its focus on efficient dental hygiene workflows fit perfectly among other recent dental hygiene innovations from Pac-Dent. The company also recently launched ProPaste™ One Disposable Prophy Ring And AntiSplatr Paste Combo, which combines a disposable prophy ring and the prophy paste into a convenient, single-patient prophy system that can reduce the risks of cross-contamination and cuts down on the number of items that need to be sanitized.
