New Owandy-IOS Intraoral Scanner Launched Today at GNYDM

Owandy Radiology introduces its AI-enhanced intraoral scanner described as affordable, precise, and robust.

Owandy Radiology Inc. is showcasing its brand-new AI-enhanced digital intraoral scanner, Owandy-IOS, at the 2023 Greater New York Dental Meeting (GNYDM), which kicked off today at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

The Owandy-IOS was designed to reshape dentistry’s digital imaging landscape. The company’s VP of Sales and Marketing Boris Loyez showed off the new product Sunday morning at the Owandy booth # 4015.

“This is our latest intraoral scanner and it’s available in either wired or wireless models,” Loyez says. “It’s very fast and delivers accurate scans. No calibration is needed at all and there’s no wall mount, so it’s ready [to go]. It comes with the software fully integrated.”

“By combining our state-of-the-art optic and imaging technology, we have created a new standard in digital imaging,” he adds.

The key features and benefits of the Owandy-IOS include the following:

• Precision: The Owandy-IOS boasts unparalleled accuracy in capturing detailed intraoral images. Equipped with advanced optics and imaging technology, it ensures precise and high-resolution scans, enabling dental professionals to provide the best possible care for their patients. The precision of the Owandy-IOS significantly enhances diagnostic capabilities and treatment planning, according to the company.

Ease-of-Use: There is no calibration or warm-up time required.

Additionally, a dual scan button, long battery life and 2 tip sizes make it more comfortable for dental professionals and their patients. AI-enhanced Fast-Scan technology assists with soft tissue removal and overlap correction, while exceptional transmission speed can scan a full arch in 20 seconds.

“You can do digital impressions and you can do a digital workflow,” Loyez tells Dental Products Report. “So, you start with your DICOM and then you acquire your soft tissue information from the scanner. Once you have that, if you use AI, you can do your overlap matching.”

Robust Design and Construction: The Owandy-IOS is designed to withstand the demands of busy dental practices. Its durable construction ensures longevity, and consistent performance, making it an ideal investment for dental professionals seeking a long-lasting intraoral scanning solution.

Affordability: In its ongoing mission to make advanced dental technology accessible to all practitioners, the company has developed the Owandy-IOS to be an affordable solution without compromising on quality. Dental practices of all sizes can now benefit from state-of-the-art intraoral scanning technology without breaking the bank, Loyez explains.

“This has just been released this week so we have some nice bundles with CBCT and scanners,” Loyez says. “This is the first time we’re presenting the Owandy-IOS so we have some nice launch offers.”

Versatility: Owandy-IOS software integrates with Exocad and other CAD/CAM systems.

Attendees of GNYDM can take advantage of a combo launch promotion of the Owandy-IOS and the I-Max 3D Pro CBCT for $59,900 USD. Also, a year-end special booklet is available for all Owandy products at www.owandy.com/offers.

The GNYDM runs through Wednesday, Nov. 29.
