New Floating Shelf for ASI’s Glider Table Allows for Efficient Dental Implant and Surgical Procedures

Integrated dental surgical table now includes a floating shelf that can be pulled in over the main work top for additional instruments or cassettes.

The new Glider™ from ASI Dental Specialties is described as a game changer when providing efficient dental implant and surgical procedures as an integrated over the patient dental surgical table. It is designed to be positioned over standard and surgical-style dental patient chairs and for stand-up or sit-down procedures.

The Glider integrated dental surgical table now includes a floating shelf that can be pulled in over the main work top for additional instruments or cassettes. With efficient workflows in mind, this new feature helps create improved workflows by adding extra space for the surgeon to move from part of the procedure to the next. For example, when extractions are finished, the instruments on the floating shelf can be simply moved back out of the way to allow for implant equipment and instruments to be accessible on the main Glider worktop.

The table can be integrated with surgical motors, saline irrigation, air water syringe and suction instruments for a convenient surgical table with 1 foot control. This innovative surgical table is designed and equipped with everything needed to move through a surgery seamlessly, according to ASI Dental Specialties, a leading developer and manufacturer of custom integrated delivery systems that are made in the USA.

The advanced delivery design eliminates multiple carts, stands, and awkward reaching for select instrumentation during procedures. Additionally, the Glider’s design and generous size deliver an oral surgical table for instruments with integrated dental and suction handpieces, including an optional surgical-style motor. The handpiece and tubing placement to each side eliminates the clutter of a separate delivery unit while providing clinicians with convenient and quick access to handpieces.

The surgical table includes a dual water bottle system for standard water supply to the air-water syringe and air-driven handpieces. Additionally, when equipped with a surgical motor, the Glider includes a roller pump for supplying saline bag irrigation to the motor. A wireless or traditional style foot control operates the handpiece.

Another benefit is how easily the table glides to the best place to deliver the care—you easily position the Glider over standard dental or surgical-style patient chairs. The large, heavy-duty casters move the system from a stored position to over the patient within easy reach of the dental team. The handles along the side of the unit and the long front handle make incremental adjustments easy for perfect positioning, states the manufacturer. With the touch of a button, the electronic legs smoothly raise and lower with both programmable settings and incremental adjustments to find the desired worktable height.

With everything within reach, the Glider is an ideal oral surgery instrument table featuring a non-porous worktop that provides ample and sufficient workspace to lay out sterile instruments and cassettes along with necessary accessories. It features a wide lockable drawer in the center for extra storage space.

Highly customizable—the Glider has 2 side dovetail rails and a back rail for storage bins, work trays, sharps containers, dispensers, saline irrigation/IV hooks, and miniature waste receptacles. The system also can equip VESA-style monitor brackets for flat monitors or patient vitals monitors.

American-made with the high-quality construction of stainless-steel valves, titanium suction handpieces, and robust Tru-Fit handpiece holders, the surgical tables are built to last. Constructed of thick-walled aluminum provides a sturdy design that is rugged yet still lightweight to move.
