CS 3800
Designed in collaboration with Studio F. A. Porsche, this wireless intraoral scanner provides mobility and a seamless user experience. Weighing just 240 g, it is said to be one of the lightest and most compact scanners on the market. The CS 3800 features a 16 × 14-mm field of view and a 21-mm depth of field to make scanning easier and faster. Compatible with the CS ScanFlow software, the scanner is indicated for a wide range of applications, including restorations, orthodontics, sleep devices, and dentures. The CS 3800 gateway is an open ecosystem, allowing images to be exported to a number of platforms or models.
Why this scanner stands apart:
Cutting the cord makes the scanner easier to maneuver around the operatory and the practice. Also, the system’s dedicated point-to-point Wi-Fi solution means it is always connected and has its own stable transmission band to ensure a smooth flow of data. Additional features add even more flexibility, as the CS 3800 features 3 interchangeable tip sizes that can be autoclaved up to 110 times. The system also features 3 charging options with a charging base, replaceable batteries, and a backup charging cord.
3M™ Clarity™ Aligners Flex + Force
Designed to provide more treatment options for orthodontists, 3M Clarity Aligners Flex + Force allow the clinician to select from 2 distinct aligner materials within a single treatment plan for simple to complex orthodontic cases. The new Flex material features a 5-layer construction with outer layers designed to resist staining, and inner layers for flexibility and resilience. This is said to create aligners that offer great fit and comfort. The new material is thinner than the Clarity Force material but still provides solid force persistence, engagement with attachments, and durability. The aligner cases are designed via Advanced Tx Design through the 3M Oral Care Portal, which can also be used for designing bracket or combination treatment.
Why aligner material choices matter:
Clear aligner materials continue to advance as rapidly as other dental materials. With 2 materials in the Clarity Aligner system, clinicians can now choose which material offers the best physical properties for different aspects of the case. The Flex material is recommended for rotation and proclination, whereas the Force is recommended for expansion, torque, and sequential bodily movement. They can also be combined, with the Flex used at the start of treatment to get patients used to wearing aligners before advancing to the Force material.
DGSHAPE SOL LCD 3D
The SOL LCD 3D is a compact printer that is said to incorporate new technologies to deliver increased speed, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness. It can produce dental models, provisional crowns and bridges, occlusal guards, surgical guides, and more. According to the company, the unit prints at 3 times the speed of standard stereolithography apparatus printers and has 5 times the UV power of previous models to match or exceed that of digital light processing printers. It reportedly offers a smooth surface finish with predictable and accurate printing over its 128 × 80 × 140-mm build plate and features the precision of 49-µm pixels and the capability to print at 4.5 cm per hour. It also features touch-screen operation, a fail-safe vat frame, a swivel-hinged UV filter hood, and an easy-to-remove build plate to help increase efficiency, convenience, and performance.
Why this printer deserves a look:
Designed for experienced users and those new to 3D printing, the SOL offers a user-friendly workflow with no calibration requirements. The printer’s bundled artificial intelligence software includes more than 100 precalibrated resin profiles for simple setup; instant access to resin and firmware updates; and accurate, repeatable results. An open system, it is designed to work with almost any dental CAD/CAM solution to make the printer easy to integrate into both existing and new digital workflows.
ZirCAD® Cement
Designed to provide a reliable and economical option for the cementation of retentive designed zirconia and metal-based restorations, ZirCAD Cement is a resin modified glass ionomer cement with a simple workflow. The cement is said to be easy to clean up in its gel phase, and offers working time for use with both single-tooth restorations, as well as multi-unit bridges. The material can be tack cured for simplified cleanup, and with its low film thickness, it flows easily out of the cementation gap yet stops at the margin. With a lasting fluoride release, ZirCAD Cement offers protection for the restoration and the restored tooth. Delivered via a standard automix syringe, the cement is easy to place with precision directly into the prepared restoration. No primer or conditioner is necessary.

Featuring passive self-ligation braces technology, the Damon Ultima System from Ormco is described as the industry’s first true full-expression orthodontic system. The bracket and integrated wire system were reengineered to reportedly provide faster and more precise finishing via improved control of rotation, angulation, and torque. The system features a unique, round-sided, rectangular wire and a parallelogram-shaped slot in the bracket. These components are designed to fit precisely together to eliminate play. These brackets are available in the neutral, retrocline, and procline options and are designed from the center point of the slot to line up with the FA point for easier, precise placement.

Vortex Blue Rotary File Blister Packs
In an effort to promote both safe dentistry and a clinician’s ability to choose the products they prefer, Dentsply Sirona’s Vortex Blue Rotary files are available in pre-sterilized blister packs. The packaging is designed for single-patient use to eliminate the potential of cross contamination. The files feature a distinctive blue color due to a titanium oxide layer that results from the proprietary NiTi processing method used to create the files. They are designed to provide enhanced resistance to cyclic fatigue while offering increased torque strength, reduced shape memory, and the ability to conform to the natural curves of the canal. Each presterilized blister pack contains 6 individually packaged files.
