Greg Biffle, driver of the number 16 3M Ford Fusion in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series, is teaming up with 3M ESPE and Henry Schein, Inc. for a third year to benefit the American Dental Association’s Give Kids a Smile® program.
Now in its 11th consecutive year, the program visits eleven NASCAR tracks throughout 2013, where Biffle will help promote healthy oral hygiene messages to kids, including tips on brushing, flossing, going to the dentist, and eating dental-friendly foods. Additionally, a 3M ESPE display in each track’s midway area will provide family activities and education concerning healthy dental habits.
According to a press release, 3M ESPE expects to reach more than 600,000 participants this year alone. And depending on the event, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in children’s dental health screenings and other promotions, including a special Give Kids a Smile paint scheme on Biffle’s car over Father’s Day weekend.
"As a parent with a toddler, I want to do everything I can to protect my daughter’s health and teach her good lifelong habits,” said Biffle. “When you consider how much dental health impacts children’s ability to learn, self-confidence and overall quality of life, you want to do everything you can to help them be healthy."
The Give Kids a Smile program holds more than 1,700 events throughout the year, providing education and dental services to over 400,000 underserved children.
Remaining participating dates and tracks include:
Tickets for these events can be purchased by visiting the website of any of the tracks listed above.
