Einstein™ Series
Desktop Health has launched its new family of dental 3D printers: the Einstein Series. This series of 3D printers uses digital light processing technology for the best fit and finish and HyperPrint™ technology to use heat and a closed-loop software upgrade. The Einstein series is meant to deliver accuracy and versatility. The entire series includes the Einstein, which is made for general dentists who wish to use chairside printing; the Einstein Pro, which is made for small dental labs; and the Einstein Pro XL, which is made for larger dental labs. Brush&Bond MAX
This next-generation bonding agent focuses on providing optimal performance on the surfaces dentists use bonding agents on the most—enamel and dentin. This single-bottle system provides stronger adhesion and higher bond strengths than the leading competitor, so users can feel more confident in their ability to deliver restorations that can withstand the test of time with no postoperative sensitivity. One key differentiator with this system is the introduction of the simplified touch application technique, which is an alternative to the scrubbing step needed when applying many other bonding agents to the prep surface. Dentists just need to dip the head of the chemically treated activator brush into the Brush&Bond MAX liquid and simply touch it to the prep surface, going back and forth to pick up more liquid until the entire prep surface is moist.

Brush&Bond MAX also treats dentin hypersensitivity and seals crown preps with a durable surface coat during temporization. Shofu has a new pediatric self-adhesive flowable composite, Beautifil Kids SA, which was introduced at the Chicago Dental Society 2022 Midwinter Meeting. It is said to be a BPA-free, self-adhesive, nano-hybrid flowable restorative with bioactive Giomer technology. Notable features include high bond strength, precision placement, and well-blended light transmission and diffusion properties. All of these combine to provide certain benefits for pediatric composite cases, such as antibacterial effects, acid neutralization, and fluoride release and recharge. Beautifil Kids SA is indicated for preventive resin restoration, small Class I, and other nonload-bearing restorations. It will be available in 2 shades, Primary (B1) and Permanent (A2), and will come in 2.2-g syringes.

Health care communications app vTail has announced its expansion into the dental market. This app is meant to facilitate smoother communication between clinician and manufacturer and improve efficiency. For instance, a practice can communicate with manufacturers through the app’s platform in a relatively short amount of time. vTail is also providing a product database and newsfeed for professionals to keep track of. The app is free, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act–enabled, and is said to be safe for clinicians wishing to keep their data secure.

This portable field unit is a mobile platform featuring an internal vacuum pump and separate air compressor, 2 air handpiece connections, an air-water syringe, titanium saliva injector, high-volume evacuator, and a water bottle. It is designed to be easy to transport and suitable for situations, such as cases in a nursing home or field conditions. The water system includes a DentaPure waterline disinfection cartridge. The compressed air system is powered by an aluminum air tank, and the system as a whole is pressure switch activated.
