Whatever their preference, there is one thing all users have in common: The desire to create a brilliant high shine quickly and efficiently with a durable instrument. The number of steps required for this differs from dentist to dentist according to personal preference. In principle, anything goes. Some prefer three steps, starting with a coarse polisher for shaping via a medium polisher for polishing and lastly a fine polisher for high-shine polishing. Others like to get it all done in one fell swoop with a one-step system. Komet would like to provide a practical solution for everybody. This is why we have now added to our range a two-step composite polishing system comprising eight polishers in total.

Efficient design
The two-stage system of diamond interspersed polishers is said to offer a long service life combined with outstanding flexibility. After shaping with tungsten carbide finishers, the initial pre-polishing stage is performed with the new, light pink polishers. Made of special diamond grit, these polishers are designed to carry out shape corrections while effectively pre-polishing surfaces at the same time. Next, a reportedly perfect yet natural looking high shine finish is created with the light yellow polishers. The brilliant results are owed to the fine diamond grit embedded in a special bond. All eight polishers are said to be distinguished by their extraordinary durability.

Recommendations for use
The standard procedure for finishing composite fillings is using a three-step system composed of tungsten carbide finishers. Komet's Q-finishers, however, are by far more efficient than the conventional method. Thanks to their special toothing, Q-finishers are designed to create an impressive surface quality in just two steps. This is followed by polishing with the new composite polishers, whose shapes reportedly are specially adapted to suit each anatomic region: bud-shaped for occlusal surfaces, wheel for interproximal surfaces and flame for vestibular polishing. Always supply plenty of cooling during polishing. Thanks to their golden shanks and distinctive color scheme (light pink and light yellow), the new polishers are said to be easy to identify.

Handy starter kit
A starter kit (4652) comprising all eight polishers and a handy plastic bur block is now available. For even greater convenience, the polishers are divided in pre-polishing and high-shine polishing instruments.
