Described as a complete telehealth home care solution, MyMouthWorks is an end-to-end myofunctional therapy program from Innovative Oral Solutions. With the program, clinicians have access to the weekly progress of all their patients including progress reports and images, and clinicians can manage and monitor their patients using a user-friendly web dashboard.

What Sets This Telehealth Platform Apart

With MyMouthWorks, clinicians can conduct an initial patient assessment and then assign 1 of 8 program disorders—open bite, overbite, underbite, crossbite, tongue thrust, temporomandibular joint dysfunction disorders, lingual frenectomy, and sleep apnea. Next, users download the MyMouthWorks mobile app. From there the patient begins a 16-week program and clinicians monitor activity on the Doctors Dashboard and compare weekly progress to baseline. The solution is designed to empower and reward patient adherence, while the doctor-patient notifications and reminders reduce the need for in-office visits. Clinicians can improve patient results with telehealth and experience unlimited ability to treat more patients and increase revenue with low overhead.

This new dual-cure, bulk fill composite builds on Bulk EZ’s enhanced esthetics and polishability with new features. It is an easy-to-place dual cure composite that combines unlimited cure depth with flowable cavity adaptation, high strength, and enhanced durability. Bulk EZ PLUS is now said to be suitable for a wider range of clinical situations through its thixotropic properties. It reaches a higher degree of conversion, offers better polish retention, and is stackable. Bulk EZ PLUS is available in a variety of shades.

What Makes This Composite Different

Utilizing the same Intellitek Technology for unlimited cure depth and microleakage prevention as the original, Bulk EZ PLUS now incorporates 80-nm spherical zirconia fillers. This is said to enhance the esthetics with better shade-matching and polishability, ensuring greater wear resistance.

Clinicians will be able to select either the wired or wireless option.

The fastscan.io™ Intraoral Scanner combines the same technology behind the Medit i700 scanner and the glidewell.io™ In-Office Solution, and Glidewell’s dental lab. These 3 aspects merge to create an intraoral scanner that is said to offer dental practices an advanced scanning solution at an affordable price point. The fastscan.io is designed to be lightweight, with reversible tips, a detachable cable, and a UV-C LED disinfecting light. Users will also receive access to Medit applications, Ortho Simulation, Model Builder, and Crown Fit. Clinicians who use the fastscan.io will be able to submit cases to either Glidewell’s lab or a lab or their choice.

The Outcome Simulator Pro is a chairside software that uses patient photos captured through the Invisalign Practice mobile application combined with scans taken on the iTero Element Plus series of scanners to create and simulate end results for Invisalign patients. Invisalign Outcome Simulator Pro works during consultation, allowing patients to receive a predictive image of what their potential smile will look like with Invisalign therapy. This tool is designed to help dentists boost their efficiency during clear aligner treatment. Invisalign Outcome Simulator Pro also has the added benefit of the ClinCheck “In-Face” Visualization tool. This system lets patients see how the smile will look on their face by combining a photo and the scan. Outcome Simulator Pro is in limited market release and is slated to be available starting in the second half of 2022.

The new line of Restorative Abrasive Kits will include a Composite Polishing Kit CA, a Porcelain & Enamel Polishing Kit CA, an Amalgam & Metals Polishing Kit FG, an Amalgam & Metals Polishing Kit CA, an Acrylic Polishing Kit HP, and a Zirconia Polishing Kit CA. Each kit contains a collection of components that are relevant to the needs of the indicated procedures. These kits are specifically designed for a variety of restorative materials and are said to deliver predictable and esthetic results. These kits will be available on July 1, 2022.

The DOVE AERO HVE single-use hybrid device is designed to significantly reduce the risk of airborne aerosol movement caused by instrument use in a dental setting. Overjet has received 510(k) clearance for its Caries Assist, Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered dental caries detection and outlining software for chairside aid and patient communication. Overjet Caries Assist is designed to allow clinicians to detect caries accurately and reduces the rate of missed lesions (false negatives). To demonstrate the validity of the software, Overjet analyzed more than 7000 tooth surfaces. With this technology, Overjet will support clinicians to be more effective and efficient by presenting them with accurate findings, identifying anatomical structures and common pathologies, and providing instant visualizations while improving patient-dentist communication.

Curaden has announced 2 new vegan toothpaste flavors to add to its BeYou line. These flavors, Peach + Apricot and Watermelon, are designed to gently whiten teeth and eliminate bacteria without the use of bleach or sodium lauryl sulphate. These 2 new flavors use menthol power pearls to freshen breath, and an enzymatic whitening supported by glucose oxidase, which eliminates the need for the rough abrasion that can often be associated with teeth whitening. There is no triclosan or microplastics in these new flavors, providing a comfort for customers who wish to have a more natural daily brushing routine. Curaden’s new flavors contain hydroxyapatite, which serves as a protectant for sensitive tooth-root surfaces, and xylitol, which fights bacteria. These 2 new flavors are available now.

It’s said to deliver optimal fit and reproducible results, allowing dental professionals to provide budget-friendly custom restorations. The new resin is also said to offer great marginal integrity, said to be easy to handle and polish, and is formulated for radiographic visibility. SprintRay Crown by BEGO is a material collaboration between the 2 companies and is said to allow dental professionals to 3D print crowns and other restorations in their offices for a fraction of the cost of other methods. The material cost is said to be just $2 per crown with a print time of fewer than 60 minutes.
