SimplyZero

SimplyZero allows for 0 percent merchant fees or costs to the practice by optimizing for a card present transaction fee. This can save practices 3 to 5 percent of total revenues. Designed to give dental practices control over their revenue cycles, SimplyZero is a feature of the Simplifeye Payments service. A single dashboard manages all payment activities and can be used to securely communicate with patients, who can then submit payments via a secure online patient portal branded to your specific practice.

What this service does differently:
Not just a stand-alone payment processing service, SimplyZero is one component of Simplifeye’s “Virtual Practice in a Box” platform. A practice can implement Amplify, 24/7 Live Chat, to capture prospective patients on their website. With consent obtained digitally, the practice can collect billing information ahead of the telehealth appointment, which can be conducted via the Connect platform. The Amplify team collects the insurance and billing information from the patient, places the patient into a turnkey virtual “waiting room,” and alerts the dentist via text message. The dentist can accept the virtual teleconferencing invitation from any device, which allows for HIPAA compliant video conferencing, while the dentist seamlessly takes notes.

ClinCheck 6.0

This update to Invisalign’s treatment planning platform moves the application to the cloud, allowing clinicians to plan and check on patient treatment from anywhere with internet access. Also, the software now features an “In-Face” visualization tool designed to merge the planned treatment outcomes with a photo of the patient’s face to create a virtual treatment outcome preview. These images are designed to aid clinicians when presenting treatment plans to patients. Additional updates in this version of the software include improved design and controls for easier, more efficient treatment planning. In addition, as a cloud-based platform, ClinCheck 6.0 users will always have the latest software version available when they log in online.

Why this is a significant upgrade:
The latest updates to the ClinCheck platform focus on usability from multiple vantage points. The cloud-platform makes it easier for clinicians to access files at any time, and keeps the software up to date. The new “In-Face” visualizations are created by bringing together intraoral scans with iTero systems, design files from ClinCheck, and extraoral images from almost anywhere. Clinicians can easily access the ClinCheck 6.0 platform by logging into their accounts at the Invisalign Doctor Site.

Ortek-ECD

The Ortek-ECD is a small portable device that is designed to detect cavitated lesions in the pit and fissures of posterior teeth. The device’s base unit has a digital display and a handpiece with a disposable conductive stainless-steel tip, which ensures electrical contact with the dentinal fluid found at the bottom of a fissure. When the dentinal fluid from the breached enamel makes contact with the tip, an electrical circuit is completed, and the device will beep. The digital display will increase from 00 to 100 based on the size of the lesion.
