Jensen PMMA joins a portfolio of other materials available through Jensen Dental's Preciso solution, including 3M ESPE's Lava Plus High Translucency Zirconia and Lava Ultimate Restorative, Jensen HT and XT Zirconia, and Jensen WX Millable Wax

PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) is used to fabricate temporary dental restorations for a wide range of cases, including more complex indications such as implants or large span bridges. Traditionally, these temporary restorations were produced by hand through an often time intensive process using composite materials. Now, however, the temporary restoration is designed over a scanned impression, from either an intra-oral or desktop scanner using Preciso CAD software, and fabricated using the Preciso M200 mill.

"We are excited that our new PMMA material is allowing labs to produce temporary restorations more efficiently and profitably. It creates a variety of new business opportunities for our customers and provides yet another way for dental labs to maximize the return on their digital investment with Preciso," said Joseph Carofano, General Manager at Jensen Dental.

Jensen PMMA is available in 20mm thick frames and in shades A1, A2, A3, and B1.
