Ivoclar Vivadent introduces Tetric CAD blocks

The new resin matrix rounds out the company's portfolio of blocks.

Ivoclar Vivadent announces the introduction and availability of Tetric® CAD blocks. The introduction of Tetric CAD rounds out the company’s broad portfolio of blocks and enables dental practices to use materials from Ivoclar Vivadent for all of their indirect digital restorations.

Tetric CAD is an esthetic hybrid ceramic resin block offering unique benefits like fast milling and polish combined with low wear. The block is a resin matrix with ceramic and glass fillers.  This combination creates composite material that also offers an advanced chameleon effect, allowing restorations made from Tetric CAD to "disappear" in the surrounding tooth structure.

Straightforward and easy to use, as well as efficient and convenient to process, Tetric CAD can be milled, quickly polished, and seated using an adhesive cement, which contributes to chairside efficiency.

Tetric CAD is a welcomed addition to Ivoclar Vivadent’s broad portfolio of CAD/CAM blocks. This portfolio now covers a wide spectrum of indications, which range from temporary restorations made of PMMA materials to permanent restorations made of ceramic, zirconia, and hybrid ceramic resin.

The new Tetric CAD blocks are available in five Medium Translucency (MT), shades (A1,A2,A3,A3.5,BL) and four High Translucency (HT), shades (A1,A2,A3,A3.5). All shades are available in two sizes; I12 and C14. Tetric CAD is available for the CEREC®, PlanMill® and PrograMill® One.
