Leaders in dental materials and 3D printing solutions announce collaboration.
In what looks to be a prominent partnership in the dental industry, the Ivoclar Group and SprintRay just announced a collaboration that brings together a big dental materials manufacturer with a leading 3D printing company.
The Liechtenstein-based Ivoclar Group is a global leader of integrated solutions for high-quality dental applications with an extensive product and systems portfolio for dentists, dental technicians and dental hygienists. Today, the manufacturer announced its partnership with SprintRay, a US technology company that develops end-to-end 3D printing solutions for dental practices and laboratories.
Already one of the leading manufacturers in the dental industry worldwide, Ivoclar is now primed to set new standards in the field of 3D printing with this collaborative partnership.
"We are very pleased to partner with SprintRay–an equal partner with whom we want to set new standards together. The philosophies of our companies complement each other perfectly and we are striving to provide our customers with the best possible support in their daily work", says Markus Heinz, CEO of Ivoclar Group, in today’s press release.
With digital technologies and processes constantly driving changes in the dental industry, 3D printing and materials advances are having a major impact on the way dental professionals work. With enhanced customer support as a driving factor, the Ivoclar Group has entered into the new partnership with SprintRay.
News of this partnership broke last weekend at SprintRay’s 3DNext New Era event in Miami Beach, Florida. Heinz and SprintRay’s CEO Dr Amir Mansouri shared their joint vision with the dental sector during the event, which was held April 19-21.
Synergies
As a global leader in the manufacturer of dental materials and equipment, Ivoclar has been providing solutions for high-quality fixed and removable prosthetics for more than a century. More recently, the company has been inspiring the industry for about 2 decades with efficient and esthetic solutions designed to set new standards for CAD/CAM workflows for clinicians and lab technicians. SprintRay has a vast offering of 3D printers and 3D printing materials and boasts aworkflow-driven portfolio of design solutions, materials, and printing ecosystems designed to maximize efficiency.
With this partnership, the synergies and expertise of both companies will be aligned allowing their customers to ideally combine state-of-the-art solutions for 3D printing with high-quality materials.
More to Come
With the announcement of their partnership, Ivoclar and SprintRay also reveal that further innovations can be expected as early as this fall.
"Ivoclar and SprintRay both have extensive internal dental expertise. Our aim is to really understand the problems and needs of our customers in order to provide optimally coordinated solutions. With Ivoclar, we are delighted to have one of the dental industry’s leading material manufacturers at our side," Dr Mansouri adds in the press release.
