The Hyperion X9 by MyRay is a modular CBCT, panoramic and cephalometric system that comes with a wealth of smart features and is reportedly designed to meet the varying needs of dental practices.

The X9 offers true full arch scans, including those for the third molar dentition and surrounding bone structure, plus variable collimation is said to allow operators to select between numerous FOVs for tailored scans.

Additionally, the Hyperion’s flat panel detectors offer a 16-bit dynamic range of 65,535 shades of gray, while peak resolution modes provide a voxel size of 75µm. Volumetric acquisition is established on a full 360° scan, which is said to be the best way to eliminate artifacts from the resulting scan.

Reportedly designed as a robust and easy-to-use diagnostic solution, the Hyperion X9’s software comes with a choice of several specialty-specific interfaces, providing a customized work environment to serve a wide range of practice needs.  Also, the software is equipped with high-speed processing power that offers reconstruction times of up to 15 seconds.  It also comes with a preloaded library of virtually placeable implants, while the data sets are compatible with any 3rd party software packages through DICOM 3.0 exporting.
