Hu-Friedy announces orthodontic "Wire Bending Contest" winners

CHICAGO, IL – July 22, 2010 –Hu-Friedy, a global leader in the manufacturing of?dental instruments, announced the winners of the 7th Annual Hu-Friedy “Wire Bending?Contest” during the annual convention of the American Association of Orthodontics. Residents, established clinicians and assistants were all eligible to submit creative works?of art made from single or multiple orthodontic wires.

The winning entrants were Dr. Aaron Swapp of Dallas, Texas, who created a multiplewire Chess Set and Dr. Daniel Nguyen was fashioned a single-wire Phoenix Bird. Hu-Friedy awarded $3,000 of Hu-Friedy Ortho products to Dr. Swapp and $1,000 of Hu-?Friedy Ortho products to Dr. Nguyen.

Entries were submitted and displayed in May at the Hu-Friedy booth during the AAO ?convention.
