The Komet F360 endodontic file is said to offer a simplified, more efficient sequence for preparing root canals using only two files.
Highly flexible to reduce canal transportation, the files’ feature an S-curve design and thin instrument core said to provide cutting efficiency while respecting root canal morphology. Also, only 025 and 035 file sizes are required for most root canal preparations; in both cases, their .04 tapers offers enhanced debridement of the canal, retains file flexibility to reduce preparation errors, and allows for ideal shaping of the root canal for obturation with any method.
F360 files are utilized in a torque-limited motor, while the same torque and speed values are used for all files – meaning dentists don’t need to adjust speed or torque after changing files during the preparation sequence. On top of sizes 025 and 035, the files come in sizes 045 and 055 for additional clinical situations like wide roots, and all F360 files are available in lengths of L21, L25 and L31 to meet a variety of coronal requirements.
Additionally, the single-use files eliminate cross-contamination and prevent the need to clean, disinfect and sterilize the instruments, as well as reduce the risk of fracture due to cyclic fatigue. F360 files are available in a sterile blister pack of six files of single size and length, and all files include a user’s manual with step-by-step instructions.
