As the temperatures being to drop around the Rocky Mountains, I decided to pay a visit to another Colorado hygienist recently and talk to her about her own clinic and starting her own business as well.
About this time last year, I was fortunate enough to attend the grand opening of a hygiene clinic in Parker, Colo., and hear the story of Liz Miller, RDH, and her beliefs on opening her own business.

As the temperatures being to drop around the Rocky Mountains, I decided to pay a visit to another Colorado hygienist recently and talk to her about her own clinic and starting her own business as well. Jankee Bhatt, RDH, came to Denver from Flagstaff, Ariz., and has opened Dental Hygiene Wellness Clinic near the Mile High City’s downtown region.
Talking with Bhatt about her business and how she is partnering with local dentists was enlightening to say the least. Colorado law allows hygienists to open their own clinics and it’s fascinating to chat with hygienists who have this opportunity and share their thoughts, ideas and dreams with their colleagues around the country who might not have those same opportunities.
As Bhatt told me during our interview, it’s really about advancing the profession of dental hygiene and reaching more patients. As a young hygienist, Bhatt is eager to not only see her own business grow and prosper, but also do what she can to help dental patients understand the importance of their oral health.
Check out my exclusive interview with Bhatt as she explains how she takes insurance, how she partners with local dentists, and how she has used marketing to get her message out to potential patients in downtown Denver and beyond.
