Henry Schein named one of FORTUNE's largest 300 corporations in America
Henry Schein, Inc. has, announced it now ranks #296 on the FORTUNE 500® list, marking its first appearance among America's 300 largest corporations since debuting at #487 in 2004.
The FORTUNE 500 list is an annual ranking of America's largest corporations based on total revenues for their respective fiscal years. Included in the survey are companies that are incorporated in the U.S. and operate in the U.S. and file financial statements with a government agency.
Dr. Dan Fischer of Ultradent Products named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2013
Ernst & Young LLP has announced that Dr. Dan Fischer, President and CEO of Ultradent Products, Inc., an international dental company, was named a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2013 program in the Utah Region.
The award recognizes outstanding entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Winners will be presented at a special gala on June 20 at The Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City.
ClearCorrect says ITC ruling will not affect products or services
According to ClearCorrect, LLC, it has received notice of an initial determination in the patent infringement complaint filed by Align Technology, Inc. with the US International Trade Commission (ITC).
“We view the preliminary ruling on the product claims as a big win and look forward to the Commission’s review of the method claims,” said Jarrett Pumphrey, ClearCorrect CEO. “We’re hopeful the Commission will view the law as both we and their staff attorneys do,” continued Pumphrey, “but even if the Commission upholds the Judge’s recommendation in full, it won’t have any material impact on our company or our ability to make aligners. That’s what counts.”
William Fitzpatrick appointed CEO of Quantum Dental Technologies
Quantum Dental Technologies (QDT), creator of The Canary System®, has announced that Mr. William Fitzpatrick has been appointed CEO.
Fitzpatrick has 36 years of experience working with companies in the dental industry. He has held executive marketing and sales positions with industry leaders such as Siemens, J. Morita, Pelton & Crane and Henry Schein, Inc.

ITI presentslatesttreatment guidelines, welcomes Professor David L.Cochran as new ITI President
More than 100 experts from the field of implant dentistry met in Bern from April 23 to 25 to participate in the 5th ITI Consensus Conference. The aim of Consensus Conferences organized by the International Team for Implantology (ITI) is to define evidence-based treatment guidelines based on the latest literature.
During the three-day Consensus Conference, scientists and clinicians from 32 countries debated which clinical methods were supported by the latest data and the following areas came under discussion by the five working groups:
The Annual Conference was followed by the ITI Annual General Meeting, at the end of which Professor David L. Cochran took up his duties as President of the ITI. He takes over from Professor Daniel Buser, whose term of office came to an end after almost four years.
“During Daniel Buser’s term of office, the ITI grew substantially and, with a membership of more than 15,000, it is now the largest international implant dentistry organization worldwide. It is an honor for me to take over this office from Daniel Buser and I am looking forward to the coming four years,” said Professor David Cochran.
