J5 DentaJet
The J5 DentaJet™ 3D printer is the only multimaterial dental 3D printer that enables technicians to load mixed trays of dental parts. It can produce at least 5 times more dental parts on a single mixed tray than competitive 3D printers, yet its compact footprint consumes only 0.43 m2 of floor space. Designed to give dental labs 3D printing efficiency paired with PolyJet’s realism and precision, the multicolor, multimaterial unit also produces 3D-printed case presentations with a realism previously only possible using time-consuming wax models. Designs can be produced digitally in a few hours.
Why this 3D printer stands out
The J5 DentaJet is launching with a full range of resins tailored to meet the needs of the dental industry. Available biocompatible resins include a clear resin, VeroGlaze opaque white for temporary in-mouth placement, and a clear and flexible resin. In addition, Separator Digital Materials automatically coat models to make it much easier to separate the acrylic device from the model and remove wax and residue. Other available resins include VeroDent PureWhite, and CMY resins for color.

3D SOFTWARE
EDITOR's CHOICE: The company’s new software feature, printers, and dental resins of the Formlabs Dental Ecosystem support dentistry’s transformation enabling both newcomers and experienced professionals to add digital workflows.
Scan to Model
Scan to Model is a new tool for Formlabs’ PreForm software that serves as an entry point for dental professionals without experience with digital design software. The new feature is designed to convert intraoral scans into 3D printable models. Clinicians can create diagnostic, formed appliance and fit check models by scanning the patient’s teeth with a 3D intraoral scanner, upload the model to PreForm’s Scan to Model tool, and then print with a Formlabs 3D printer. It’s said to reduce turnaround time and the number of software programs required to produce models.
