Dentsply Sirona’s DS OmniTaper Implant System to be Introduced at AO Annual Meeting

Dentsply Sirona is introducing its DS OmniTaper Implant System®—the newest member of the EV Implant Family, alongside the Astra Tech Implant System and the DS PrimeTaper Implant System®—at this week’s Academy of Osseointegration (AO) Annual Meeting. A full US launch is set for May 1.

First announced in September 2022 at the EAO Congress in Geneva, Switzerland, the DS OmniTaper Implant System combines proven technologies with new innovations for implant treatment in virtually all clinical situations. Unique to the implant system is an intuitive drilling protocol for reduced chair time and a pre-mounted TempBase for immediate restorations and efficient workflows.

The EV Implant Family offers surgical flexibility to cover virtually every indication. All 3 implant systems deliver biologically driven implant designs for natural esthetics and lasting bone care, have 1 connection for restorative clarity, and are optimized for a seamless fit with digital dentistry workflows.

Like the rest of the EV Implant Family, the DS OmniTaper Implant System has a conical EV connection that provides access to the harmonized and comprehensive EV prosthetic portfolio for restorative flexibility and immediate chairside solutions. The OsseoSpeed® implant surface stimulates early bone healing and speeds up the healing process, for increased bone formation and stronger bone-to-implant bonding.

The DS OmniTaper Implant System will be available for demo at the Dentsply Sirona booth # 313 during the 2023 AO Annual Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, from March 16-18.
