Dentrix, DEXIS team up for comprehensive integration in the dental practice

Among the features are, within the chart in Dentrix, clinicians can see all of the patient’s DEXIS images in one place with just the click of a button.

This week during the California Dental Association spring meeting in Anaheim, Dentrix and DEXIS will be showcasing how they work together … and how that teamwork pays off in a very big way for dental practices around the country.

Calling it “a comprehensive integration between practice management software and imaging,” Brian Gooch, DEXIS Software Product Manager, believes the relationship between Dentrix and DEXIS benefits every member of the dental team.

“Time is precious for everyone in the practice, but we know the hygiene appointment is action-packed,” Gooch said. “If hygienists can save a click or a little bit of work, it goes a long ways during that appointment.”

With that in mind, Dentrix and DEXIS allow the user to see X-rays in their entirety within the patient chart. Rather than having to leave the chart to look at the X-rays, clinicians can see everything that has been done in the past in one place. Additionally, it’s easy for clinicians to enlarge the images to look at a certain tooth easily.

Within the chart in Dentrix, clinicians can see all of the patient’s images in one place with just the click of a button. With this, dental professionals can toggle between X-rays, PAs, intraoral X-rays, and extraoral photos as well.

While the benefits can be seen on the clinical side of the practice, there are great benefits for the front office as well. Claims produced in Dentrix can also contain images directly from the DEXIS software. There’s no need to have to search for an image when it’s conveniently located in one place, saving time and frustration.
