The x-ray sensor and software company celebrates its 20th anniversary with new practice management software introduction.
After years of research and development, DentiMax announced the launch of its new DentiMax Flow cloud-base practice management software at the company’s Dental Tech Summit in Mesa, Arizona on Friday.
The Mesa-based company, well known for its high-quality Dream Sensor and Open Sensor digital x-ray sensors, and its practice management (PM) and imaging software, now has a powerful web-based PM software that allows dental practices to access on any device, virtually anywhere in the world.
To kick off the Summit, DentiMax President & Founder David Arnett, along with Lee Varney and Chad Camac, explained the features of the new Flow software, a product that has been in development for 5 years and one that required DentiMax to add additional developers to its team of imaging and software experts.
“We’re bringing better software at a better price. Better technology at a better price” says Camac, the VP of sales and support for DentiMax, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
Alicia Dieujuste, managing director, DentiMax software, gave a presentation Friday morning titled “Flow: The Future of Dental Software is Here.” She addressed several features provided by Flow to increase dental practice productivity and profitability, including scheduling; billing, claims, and statements; clinical and perio charting; prescription writing; integrated credit card processing; digital forms and registration; and more.
With the Summit attendees including dentists, consultants, office managers, and members of the media, a Q&A session covered a variety of topics about what the Flow software currently provides, how it can be customized by individual practice needs, and what the developers are working on to enhance the software’s capabilities going forward.
Dieujuste sat down with Dental Products Report on Saturday to discuss the new software, the Summit, and other offerings including the Cocoon handheld x-ray unit, the company’s imaging software, and the company’s open concept that allows dental practices to work with other companies’ software when using DentiMax’ sensors.
“This event was something that I was trying to push forward this year, because, to me, 20 years is significant and we're thriving,” she says. “So, that tells me, we've hit our young adulthood of the business. I would say we're no longer, you know, toddlers and teenagers—the company's really grown up in that way, and we've got a great team. A lot of us have been with DentiMax for many years now, and so it's really the dedication of all the minds for the last 5 years, especially going into the new software.”
The company’s sensors can integrate well with most imaging software and DentiMax PM software can bridge with most imaging software used by clinicians.
“Yeah, that's true for all of our products,” Dieujuste stresses of the open concept. “Every single product we've kind of made to fit into whatever the office needs. And obviously they all work best together. You know, we believe they work best together. We've designed it to get the most out of all of it together, but you don't have to [use only DentiMax solutions]; you still get the great features regardless. We're really trying to make it achievable and affordable for everybody to have a high-quality product.”
Other Summit presentations on Friday featured one specifically on the company’s sensors, implementation and imaging software; one on the IT offerings titled “Dental Office in a Box,” and also Varney spoke on the complete solutions for modern dental practices. Other companies presented on topics that included benefits verification using AI, integrated payment plans, and patient financing. DentiMax Summit sponsors included DentalXChange, BillFlash/NexTrust, Nuvei, Dexcowin, and ClickRay.
