Dencept Dental Acquires Rights to Beckmer Products

Dencept Dental, a company that specializes in providing products and services designed to increase workflow efficiency, has announced its acquisition of the licensing, manufacturing, and distribution rights of Beckmer Products’ portfolio. Beckmer was established in 2004 with the invention of the Dental R.A.T.™ by Becky Louge, RDH.

“We are so excited to see Dencept Dental take our needed products to the next level,” Lounge said, according to a press release from Dencept Dental. “Our goal was always to make the lives of dental clinicians easier and more productive.”

The acquired products enable hands-free, ergonomic operation that is designed to eliminate the need for additional assistance in a variety of clinical and hygiene procedures. These products include:

• Dental R.A.T., a hands-free periodontal charting system that eliminates the need for an assistant and the twisting and turning when charting pocket depths,
• BLUE BOA™, a light suction tubing that enables hands-free saliva evacuation,
• And BOOMER-The Foot Mouse™, which enables the hands-free operation of any PC or laptop during dental or surgical procedures.

“We’re proud and excited to continue the impressive legacy of these innovative hands-free dental devices and relaunch them to dentists and hygienists,” Dencept CEO Karlene Bostick said, according to the press release. “We will also be expanding our programs for serving the DSO,  school, government, distributor, and GPO markets.”

Decept will continue the manufacturing of these products in the US and will also provide customer support.
