Clincians Choice to debut Bluewave Diode Laser at 2019 GNYDM

The desktop laser is characterized by its high-contrast blue aiming beam, which provides greater visibility at the surgical site.

The new Bluewave™ Soft Tissue Diode Laser was introduced by Clinician’s Choice this month. The desktop laser is characterized by its ergonomics, operation, and high-contrast blue aiming beam, which provides greater visibility at the surgical site, CC said in a press release.

The Bluewave diode laser provides greater patient comfort and faster healing times - often with minimal need for anesthetic, CC said. The 810nm diode laser features a long-lasting lithium-ion battery, a wireless foot pedal, and has a light-weight design, the company said. The laser is portable and allows the clinician to move between operatories with ease. The Bluewave has three settings to simplify treatment protocols and includes a custom setting for individual preferences.

“Clinician’s Choice is committed to providing clinically proven, time-saving solutions to dentists, globally,” Clinician’s Choice president Peter Jordan said. “Laser-assisted restorative procedures and their impressive benefits to both clinicians and patients are in line with our commitment to better dentistry – making the new Bluewave Soft Tissue Diode Laser a natural transition for us.”

The Bluewave features a blue-aiming beam, which produces higher contrast on tissues and blood versus the traditional red beam, CC said. The curved handpiece provides better posterior access in a variety of positions, which reduces hand fatigue during long procedures. The device also uses disposable tips.

Clinician’s Choice will debut the Bluewave at the 2019 Greater New York Dental Meeting, Dec. 1-4. Visitors to the CC booth (#2515) during the GNYDM will be able to demo the unit and view accessories and its implementations.
