During the recent Speaking Consulting Network meeting in Portland, Ore., I had the chance to talk with Teresa Duncan, MS, FADIA, FAADOM, the educational content advisor for the American Association of Dental Office Managers (AADOM). During our conversation, we chatted about the role of the spouse in the dental practice.
Duncan spoke during our interview about the importance of communication in the dental practice when it comes to the dentist and his or her spouse. She also shared with us the ongoing efforts of the Dental Spouse Business Network, which was created by AADOM to address the specific needs and challenges of office managers whose spouses are the dentist in the practice.
Active member spouses can discuss issues specific to their role in the office either on the member forum or in AADOM’s more confidential spouses-only forum. There is also a special time set aside for the group at AADOM’s annual meeting. You can learn more about that by clicking here.
