In collaboration with Dr. Roland and Dr. Phillip Streckbein, BEGO Implant Systems has developed the surgical instrument set – BEGO Semados® RI-Line TrayPlus – with a new, innovative generation of drills.

According to BEGO, this new generation of drills has considerably facilitated the improvement of the placement technique of BEGO Semados® RI implants. Due to the modified preparation procedure, the RI-Line implants can now be successfully inserted in bones of widely varying degrees of quality, utilizing their self-condensing features in the process.

The instrument set comes in a more compact, clearly laid-out metal tray, in which silicone inserts for fixing the instruments have not been included for hygiene reasons. The number of rotating tools has been considerably reduced in order to facilitate a shortening of the surgical procedure.

Also, the diameters of the drills, which are tailored for the implants, allow the practitioner to insert the implants while also using their self-condensing properties, even with D2 and D3 bone qualities. Furthermore, the optimized drill geometry guarantees smooth cutting performance. Clearly visible depth markings on the drills make an important contribution to ensuring the safe use of the instrument set.

Drill stops from the separately-available Drill stop TrayPlus RI-Line complete the set. The personal plus: Tthe integrated tools for gentle bone processing (thread formers for bone condensing/spreading).
