Imagoworks’ 3Dme Crown is an automatic crown design module of the company’s 3Dme Solutions. Using a patient’s 3D scan data, artificial intelligence (AI) technology automatically generates a crown prosthesis design in seconds, according to Imagoworks. 3Dme Crown’s AI technology automatically finds the tooth that requires crown design by examining the dental 3D scan data. At the same time, it identifies the margin line between the tooth and gum and suggests an optimized margin line for the prothesis. Then, it creates an optimal crown design in a matter of seconds after taking into consideration the surrounding and antagonist teeth.
Why this CAD Crown Software Saves Time:
Crown design using the existing dental CAD is done through dozens, even hundreds, of mouse clicks over a period of 10 to 15 minutes. However, this process reportedly takes only seconds and just a few clicks using 3Dme Crown. Then the crown design is downloaded in the desired file format (.STL, .OBJ, .PLY, etc) and sent to a 3D printer or milling machine for an immediate prosthesis production. 3Dme Crown can be accessed and used from anywhere in the world after member registration at https://www.3dme.ai.
ZimVie has announced the launch of its new T3® PRO Tapered Implant and Encode® Emergence Healing Abutment. These products, which have been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration, will add to ZimVie’s already expansive line of dental implant and abutment solutions. The T3 PRO will build on the original T3 Tapered Implant, which was launched in 2013, and the Encode Emergence Healing Abutment will work with ZimVie’s 3-in-1 Encode Impression System. The T3 PRO is designed with a hybrid surface and an Osseotite® surface on the implant collar that is superimposed on the grit-blasted implant body. Osseotite has clinically shown both high safety and performance, while also preserving crestal bone, according to ZimVie.
Why this implant system stands out:
T3 PRO has a modernized collar design for placement depth adjustment. Its self-tapping threads for controlled insertion deliver ideal torque and improved tactile feel during placement. Encode Emergence is a healing abutment, impression coping, and scan body designed to provide efficiency with its robust, 3-in-1 solution. Encode Emergence Healing Abutment allows for clear intraoral scanning and restoration precision with a pink color that matches most gingiva for enhanced esthetics post-surgery.
The new Ergo series loupes are said to be the only ergonomic loupes available on the market providing up to 10-times magnification in an ultralight construction. Ergo loupes are designed to help wearers maintain a neutral head position as they tend to patients, helping to prevent and reduce neck, back, and other pain. The Ergo series offers a combination of magnification potential and user comfort. Customized to each wearer through a multifactor process, the loupes’ precision vision and light weight are said to help health care providers work more comfortably and effectively for extended periods of time.
Why these loupes are valuable for the practice:
The loupes are available in 6 levels of magnification: 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 7.5x, and 10x. The largest magnification, 10x, weighs just 52 g. These through-the-lens deflection loupes enable a real declination angle of up to 80°. Using the loupes progressively and intuitively trains clinicians to correct head position and posture.
