ALD to host upcoming ‘Lasers Coming of Age’ annual conference

The Academy of Laser Dentistry invites healthcare professionals to attend its 21st Annual Conference with the theme of "Lasers Coming of Age: 21 Years of Enlightenment; Changing Perspectives, Broadening Horizons."

The Academy of Laser Dentistry invites healthcare professionals to attend its 21st Annual Conference with the theme of "Lasers Coming of Age: 21 Years of Enlightenment; Changing Perspectives, Broadening Horizons."

The ALD will host a three-hour Practice Management track for dentists and staff Saturday, March 1, during the ALD 2014 Annual Conference, Feb. 27 to March 1 in Scottsdale, Ariz., which will also be the center of numerous other lectures and courses.

The Practice Management Track compliments the "Laser Safety Officer Training" course by Dr. Scott Benjamin and Jan LeBeau, RDH, MLSO offered on Thursday, Feb. 27.

This course is designed to meet the educational requirements of the dental practice's Laser Safety Officer (LSO). This type of educational program must be completed by the practice's LSO to enable possible mandated registration of their Class 4 laser devices with the Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency (ARRA) or other state regulatory bodies.

Attendees will experience lectures and participation courses by more than 45 speakers on: 

  • Laser Utilization in Implantogy

  • Laser Utilization in Perio and Perio Maintenance 

  • Laser Utilization in Endodontics

  • Laser Utilization in Pediatric Dentistry 

  • Laser Utilization in Myofacial Pain Management with a focus on Low Level Laser Therapy

  • Laser Utilization in Oral Pathology, Oral Medicine and Oral Diagnosis 

  • Plus Science and Research Tracks including Panel Discussions

 

Each track is designed to meet the needs of those seeking Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) Participation Course credit hours toward AGD's Fellowship and Mastership awards programs.
