Longest Duration to Hang Suspended by the Teeth: 7 minutes 15 seconds

This record is among those that make Guinness World Records so special. On the one hand, it’s remarkable to think that Dzmitry Dudarau (Belarus) in Jimo, Shandong, China could achieve this mark. But equally remarkable is that anyone would ever think to attempt such a record. But sure enough, the record-holder for the longest duration to hang suspended by the teeth accomplished this for 7 minutes and 15 seconds, back on December 10, 2017. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, he hung at a height of 73 centimeters from the floor.

Most Garters Removed with the Teeth in One Minute: 26

Like the previous record on the list, this is one that is both oddly impressive as well as a head scratcher in regards to wondering who and how someone would come up with this idea.

It’s a tradition at many wedding ceremonies to have the groom take his sweet time to remove the bride’s garter while photographers snap away and the guests ooh and aah during the event. But in 2008, Ivo Grosche showed off his speed and coordination skills on the set of Germany’s Guinness World Records: Die GroBten Weltrekorde. It was there where he skillfully removed 26 garter belts using only his teeth, and he accomplished the record feat in just 60 seconds, taking just over 2 seconds for each garter.

Most Teeth Ever: 37

This record happened on its own. Vijay Kumar from India has 37 teeth in his mouth—five more than the average person. This record holder has more teeth than anyone else in the world, and he didn’t have to train or practice, or come up with an idea as to what record he might strive to achieve. Kumar says that he applied for the Guinness World Records title for Most teeth in the mouth after discovering Chassidar Danabalan’s (India) previous record of 36 teeth. He explains that there are some disadvantages to having so many teeth, one being that he often bites his tongue. In spite of this, Kumar is proud of getting his teeth into a Guinness World Records title and the recognition that it gives him, and reports that his friends introduce him to new people as “the guy with the most teeth”.

Longest Tooth Extracted: 37mm

While Dr Max Lukas has pulled his share of teeth, the Offenbach, Germany dentist was caught off guard after an extraction he completed in 2018. He was surprised at the length of the tooth, which did not look like an ordinary tooth. And it was not a normal tooth. In fact, the dentist received an official Guinness World Records certificate after the tooth was extracted in September 2018. The extracted canine tooth measured 37 mm.

While the Harlem Globetrotters have perfected the basketball finger roll for decades, Canadian Sandeep Singh Kaila has become an expert at spinning a basketball on a toothbrush. Sandeep has held the record title for the longest duration spinning a basketball on a toothbrush three different times now. His longest duration spinning a basketball on a toothbrush, and the latest world record, is 1 minute, 8.15 sec, and was achieved by Sandeep in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada, on January 1, 2019.
