How does your state stack up against the competition?
Do the residents of your state abide by all the rules when it comes to oral health, or do your neighbors’ teeth and gums need a little TLC? Thanks to a new study conducted by Toothbrush.org, you can find out how your state stacks up.
, an organization dedicated to ensuring oral health equity and advocating for the need of oral health, analyzed data from organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Dental Association, the U.S. Census and others and evaluated each state based on 20 different metrics. The metrics ranged from overall condition of the mouth and teeth to dental-related work absences to the number of adults who visited a dentist in the past year. All metrics were graded on a 100-point scale. Scores were then totaled and the overall rank was determined.

Minnesota came out on top, squeaking by Connecticut for the top spot. On the other end of the spectrum, Arkansas came in last place for oral health.
