Solidscape®, Inc., a Stratasys company, introduced the Solidscape® MAX², a high-precision 3D printer for manufacturing wax patterns, the newest member of the company’s 3Z® Series.
The MAX², featuring SCP® (Smooth Curvature Printing), reportedly delivers higher throughput with significant production gains for precision designs in jewelry, medical and industrial applications.
Solidscape’s fastest 3D printer ever, the MAX² is priced at $55,650.00 USD and is aimed at the high-precision investment casting market.
With one-touch simplicity, the fully automated MAX² printer is said to combine the power of high-precision printing with the increased performance required for manufacturing applications. Its user-friendly touch screen and software are designed to deliver the benefits of 3D manufacturing to any business by allowing operators of any skill level to produce their own high-precision wax patterns ready for casting.
“The Solidscape MAX² is part of our relentless drive to help our manufacturing customers optimize their workflow and quality,” said President and General Manager Fabio Esposito. “The surface finish quality of the wax patterns made by the MAX² is the best ever produced by any Solidscape printer. And that precision is now matched by substantially increased performance that can cut the production time for jewelers in half. The Solidscape MAX² gives our customers a product choice that meets their needs for high precision, high performance and a high return on their investment.”
Solidscape also announced higher trade-in allowances towards the purchase of a new MAX² for “experienced” Solidscape 3D printers, competitive 3D printers or milling machines. These incentives will be managed by local resellers.
