Ivoclar Vivadent reveals IPS e.max Press Multi [VIDEO]

dlpmagazine.com-2014-10-01, Issue 10

Ivoclar Vivadent has announced the release of IPS e.max Press Multi, the first polychromatic ingot available for the press technique.

It is reportedly suitable for the fabrication of monolithic anterior and posterior crowns and veneers that show a natural-looking shade gradient from the dentin region to the incisal areas. This ingot is engineered to eliminate time-consuming layering procedures, formulated to increase both esthetics and efficiency.

The polychromatic restorations are fabricated using an advanced processing technique, which has been patented by Ivoclar Vivadent. The restorations are pressed and glazed with new accessory components and the EP 3010 and EP 5010 press furnaces. If desired, the restorations can be characterized and glazed with the coordinated IPS e.max Ceram materials.

The new Multi ingot, like the uniformly-colored IPS e.max Press ingots, is composed of lithium disilicate glass-ceramic, which exhibits a flexural strength of 400 MPa.

The IPS e.max Press Multi ingot is available in one size and in nine A–D shades and in one Bleach shade.
