Its features reportedly include user-friendliness, realistic visualization, increased speed and top-quality results.
Single-session treatment–two out of three patients surveyed would change their dentist in order to benefit from this service, and half of those surveyed would pay more as well. Today, dentists can readily meet these expectations thanks to the CEREC SW 4.5 in which the workflow has been reportedly significantly improved and expanded to include a variety of features. The CEREC SW 4.5, with its intelligent tools, is said to make it even easier for newcomers to enter the world of digital prosthetics.
Easy navigation on an intuitive user interface
The simple and intuitive user interface of the CEREC software is said to be essential for a fast yet precise workflow. It is engineered to use compact tool bars that show all options at a glance. Searching and scrolling are now a thing of the past. Only the tools required for a particular work step are reportedly shown on the screen. The screen is designed to remain clear and the user is intuitively guided through the workflow. Improved user guidance facilitates the workflow for all applications that are carried out chairside with CEREC SW 4.5.

Fewer steps, automatic detection and excellent precision
The number of steps necessary for a restoration has been reportedly considerably reduced and many are performed automatically. Restorations, such as inlays, onlays, crowns or veneers, are said to be automatically detected by the software and must no longer be entered separately. Furthermore, the insertion direction no longer has to be defined on the screen. Now, the restoration is prepared in just two steps instead of four: setting of the model axis and entering of the preparation margin using the edge detection. The new version is also designed to ensure a perfect fit if a preparation happens to deviate from the specifications. This reportedly saves a lot of time while maintaining the high precision of the restoration. Thanks to the even more refined milling strategy, fits could be further improved, particularly for complex constructions.

High-quality results guaranteed
The intelligence of its functions and the quality of the results achieved with its tools are both important factors in modern software. The CEREC SW 4.5 is said to excel due to its improved biogeneric initial proposals that match the patient's needs perfectly, even in difficult anatomic situations, based on the biojaw algorithm. Using the CEREC Omnicam, structures are engineered to be represented realistically and in true, natural color. To assess tooth color, the software uses the function "Shade Detection" to analyze the scan and indicate the tooth color as a Vita Classic or Vita 3D Master. Overall, this is designed to allow the dentist to make an even more reliable assessment of the intraoral situation.
Directly screw-retained crowns with CEREC
The CEREC SW 4.5 integrates the preshaded, translucent CEREC Zirconia Meso Block into the complete CEREC zirconia workflow. This reportedly allows for directly screw-retained crowns made of esthetically pleasing high-quality and solid zirconia to be dry milled precisely. The final sintering process in the CEREC SpeedFire is said to take only a few minutes and means the complete implant prosthesis with zirconia can be completed in a single visit. In this way, CEREC SW 4.5 is designed to contribute to faster, safer and better dentistry.
