Getting children interested in their oral health isn’t easy, but it’s important. If they develop good oral hygiene habits at a young age, they’re more likely to take those habits with them to adulthood.
The Lab Konishi Dental Laboratory is based in Santa Fe Springs, Calif., staffs eight dental technicians and works with about 20 dentist clients. Owner Rob Konishi, CDT, describes the lab as a crown and bridge lab that mostly does porcelain and gold, some implants, some composites and a few pressables. Konishi opened the lab 35 years ago.
You don’t want to catch it when it’s easy to see. By then, it may be too late. As a dental professional, you need to spot possible problems in the early stages, when treatment is less invasive and chances for survival are higher.
You can't use the economy as an excuse. Just because the economy is down doesn't mean you shouldn't offer your patients the best possible care, or that you should assume they can't afford that care. It just means you and your team have to work a little harder to educate your patients about their options, and that includes veneers.
