Flavia Pirih, DDS, PhD

Flavia Pirih, DDS, PhD, is a prominent figure in the field of periodontology, serving as the Tarson Family Endowed Chair of Periodontics and the Chair of the Regenerative and Reconstructive Sciences Division at the UCLA School of Dentistry. She began her distinguished academic journey by earning her dental degree from the Universidade Federal do Paraná in Brazil, followed by a PhD in Oral Biology from UCLA. Dr Pirih further honed her expertise by completing residencies in periodontics at the University of Michigan.

As a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, Dr Pirih has established herself as a leading expert in her field. She has also served as the past president of the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation.
